APOLOGIA

The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia. It means a verbal defense. 1 Peter 3:15 is most commonly associated with Christian apologetics.

"but in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect"
(1 Pet. 3:15, NIV)

It has been difficult to focus the topics on this website. There are many belief systems in this world today and saying, or even implying, that your theology is right and someone else's is wrong is socially unacceptable. We live in a time where to seek answers to metaphysical questions is considered spiritual but to say that you have found the answer is somehow intolerant. Is there a such thing as absolute truth or is everything relative to the individual experience? Is religion a matter of taste or fact?

Our theology shapes how we view the world we live in. Are we the product of billions of years of chemical reactions and genetic mutations or are we created by an intelligent being for a purpose? The answers to these questions will shape everything about us.

Let’s take Macro-Evolution for instance. If life began with the “Big Bang”, by natural processes, then things like morality and ethics are social constructs that can and will change depending on the time and culture. I am not being facetious or sarcastic but think about this. Why would murder be wrong? Especially if we apply the Darwinian Theory “Survival of the fittest.” Do we think that it is wrong for a coyote to kill a rabbit or is that just “natural”.

This site is not intended to "convert" or "offend" anyone. It is simply pointing out the reasons we believe. There are many sources that will be used for the content of this website. Proper credit is given in the sources section..
