	GOD SQUAD Missions Support

	Who we are: We are people who care about the missionaries who are doing God’s work in the mission’s field and want to do what we can to help support their ministry

	The meaning of our name: The name for our mission’s support ministry is called “God’s Squad.” God is raising an army of believers to reach the lost. All who are born of God are members of His army. We are to bring the message of the cross to the world and give people an understanding of who Jesus is and how they can have a personal relationship with him. An army has many different sizes of fighting units; the smallest group is a squad and usually consists of twelve to thirteen people. A squad can be a very effective unit in any battle.

	Our Purpose: The purpose of the team is to Glorify God. We do this by supporting our missionaries with prayer and finances to help meet their needs. We keep the church body informed of their progress and prayer requests Jesus gave us all a mission to *“go to all the world and make disciples.”* For most of us, our mission field is right in our own towns. However, some are called, by God to become full-time missionaries

God is Calling:

Not being “called” to become a full-time missionary does not relieve us of responsibility to take part in the support of those who have received the call and are in the field. God has blessed us in the United States as being citizens of the wealthiest country on earth. Many people think they are financially “burdened” when they pay house or rent payments, have “toys” that take half of their income, and the rest goes for food or pleasure. Many “modern” Christians tend to forget that Jesus did not even have a place to neither lay his head nor a roof to cover him. Some have become blinded by their own selfish desires and fail to see what God has called them to do; to support those who are doing the Will of God here on earth. We are called by the Most High to do what He has purposed in our hearts to do.

What our team members do:

Pray for each other and our missionaries
Communicate with the missionaries we currently support
Search for and review potential missionaries to support.
Seek mission’s projects that our teams and congregation members can participate in, including short-term missions trips.
Report to the congregation on what is happening with our missionaries around the world.
Raise funds for direct support to those in the field that we have been led by God to support

What are the requirements for this ministry?

Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
That He has called you to this ministry
And has given your heart the desire for missions work.
Be a team oriented participant
Be willing to do what is necessary to make the team successful in their purpose

How do we raise support funds:

Special mission’s offerings and team fundraisers: No funds come from KCC’s General fund.
